You are exactly right, if I get dust in the clear it will never come out without some major wet sanding. I know I will be painting outside and I have some construction plastic I am going to staple to the underside of the deck. I will end up putting three walls of plastic up with the front open and I will take a box fan and put it near the playfield so it sucks out the dust and shoots it out the front... at least that's what I am thinking :)

Just a thought-

If you clear coat the playfield under you deck, how will you control the dust? Especially if its pollen season when you do this. If you get dust under the clear coat won't it be there forever?

At work we make "cheap" clean rooms for some applications that work really well. Its just plastic walls, floor and ceiling with a constant flow of fresh air through a cheap HEPA filter.
